You've got mail :)

I love letters.I love sending and receiving letters.
I remember , during summer holidays in high school period , I used to send letters to my school friends.I also received a lot of letters. It was so much fun, to receive lots of letters a week.
We became friends with the postman and he'd say smiling when he came: Hey dude, you're lucky, this time I have 2 letters and a postcard waiting for you:)
It was fun, indeed!

And this was just 10 years ago.Not such a long time. But how much have we , our habits, our lives changed!!!
I admit it , I've become one of those lazy persons too.
Pity ; I know, but internet's limitless availability and the rush that characterizes our daily lives doesn't help at all to arouse the will of letter communication.

But all of us love to receive letters, I know.So , if we just push ourselves to do something different one day , to behave more humanly and less cyberly:), we could re-change some things.
I wanna take advantage of this self-critical post to thank my cousin and my Brasilian blogger friend
Luciano for the lovely postcards:)

P.S : I guess my 2008's sole resolution will be : sending letters and postcards to my friends:)

Eni, I am one of those people that used to love writing letters and of course receiving them. Things have changed little by little and I don't send as many, but I still prefer to send a postcard rather than an email.

Send me your home address and I will send you smth from NYC:)

Have a great weekend!

eh , i know!!!!
i totally understand your feeling! Its been years i still write and receive letter, and I love it!
Yesterday the mail woman, found this hand written letter that had the address of the my building but not any nr of the appt, so she just gave to it me:)
it wasn't for me...but, i am waiting for a letter today!

the mystic way the letter comes , made to be read just from you, love it!

Indeed. I often ask myself, whatever happened to letter writting? There is something personal, intimate and caring about it and the electronic mail, alas, ruined it forever. I used to write lots of letters in my teens and I still have the ones I received and sometimes sit down and enjoy reading them. I really miss this kind of correspondence, but since nowadays it is considered "old-fashioned", I wouldn't dare do it. And the funny thing is that I write much less emails than I used to write letters.

"ore, po ti jetoke me shekullin e kaluar"

Tashi, pyjta shtohte, do na sjellësh ndonjë kartolinë nga Stambolli?

Ah, ketu me ke kam ne nje pike te dobet. Une vete nuk kam arrit asnjehere qe ta praktikoj me sukses artin e shkrimit te letrave. Eshte shume e vertete, ashtu sic the edhe ti, qe kur te vjen nje leter eshte me te vertete kenaqesi, dhe jam i bindur kjo eshte e vertete per te gjithe. Une u bera vite tashme qe perdor internetit per pjesen dermuese te komunikimit tim dhe kam pershtypjen qe kur te martohem, detyren e shkrimit te letrave do t'ja delegoj gruas :-)
